I've used every weapon pretty extensively over nearly every game with probably well over 10k hours into the series as a whole. I tend to start off with the GS at the start of new games to get a feel for what monsters there are but in the end go with what works best for each individual monster. Sometimes you need ranged attacks, fighting countless Fatalis' back in the old days teaches you you need to bust those horns and wings for parts. As heavy and satisfying as GS hits are I've found with some i can take them out significantly faster with the duals. But who doesn't love a HH main coming into a party of 4 and buffing/healing everyone? It all comes down to what feels best for you despite the situation. I will say, if you play older games and are doing underwater hunts that pooping a mega dash and charging underwater with a Lance is great fun. Nothing better than counting the hits on a Dire Miralis as the counter goes up and up and up lol.

Hey LightItUpDan! I Love all your videos! Thank you for all the content! Sorry for the late reply. I noticed in your "Lifesteal" build you mention your love for both Hammer and Sword and Shield. So far, I am loving Sword and Shield but am now seriously considering Hammer. Would really appreciate your opinion and feedback on both. There are those who rank Sword and Shield in S tier and Hammer in A tier but others rank Hammer in S tier and Sword and Shield in A tier. You also have both listed in this video. Which is easier, in your opinion, to get through the main game and Iceborne? Having a hard time debating between the two. Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!

Something else that I find to be incredibly useful for raging brachy is the fireproof mantle. Not only does it make you immune to the heat in the lower region of guiding lands but it also makes you completely immune to blast blight. No blast blight resist needed (unless you want it for the entire fight). Im pretty sure the mantle also makes you take less damage from the DOT pools as well even if you stand in it and aren't moving much/get stunned. With the mantle I was honestly able to tank and sit there relatively unharmed for most of the later stages of the fight. If you upgrade it too you get 2 extra tier 2 deco slots you can use for whatever you might need. I like to slot in extra ice attack personally

Are there any restrictions to the 7.5% lifesteal per attack? Like do different weapons change the value at all? If not, that would be insane on something like dual blades. You'd be immortal

This is for the Iceborne players: Charged Shelling is better on Wide… once you hit level 7. This is only in terms of damage. You obviously lose out on the range Long has so obviously pick what’s comfortable for you. There is no Long 7 Gunlance… I’ve already cried about this enough.
